Out with the old and in with the new. That is usually the theme that people have with the new year. They want to chunk out old habits, diets, jobs, etc and get new ones. Well we are still going along same as usual, but we are looking to make improvements along the way too.
2016 ended great for us. My sister visited from the last of Nov til the first week of Dec. She does a lot for us back in the USA, and we are real close to her, so it was very good to see her again. Christmas was a wonderful time for us. And not just remembering the birth of Christ, the family time, or the gifts, but the church service we had on Christmas day too! We had a meal and I got to give the Gospel to a visiting college student who was from India. That morning, before the meal, he bowed and trusted Christ as his Saviour! The beginning of the year saw us down with sickness for a week or so, but we have since recovered.
Things have continue onward. The kids are plugging along in school, I’m rehearsing the language so I don’t forgot what I learned before the next semester starts, and Masey is keeping all of us in line! (^_^) But we are wanting to not just stay the same either. Our prayer is that 2017 will be the best year we have ever had. We want to be closer to the Lord, more involved in outreach, wiser in the language, and just be more useful this year than the last. For me, 2016 was a REALLY good year. But I’m hoping 2017 will be even better.
